    • An anonymized string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The Gravatar privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

  • Technical and Usage Information:

    • IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring site, and usage data.

  • Cookies & Tracking Technologies:

    • We use cookies, pixels, and third-party analytics (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, etc.) to understand user behavior, improve site performance, and deliver relevant ads.


3. Media Uploads

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website may download and extract location data from images.


4. Cookies

  • If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies for convenience. These last one year.

  • Visiting our login page sets a temporary cookie to test if your browser accepts cookies. It is discarded when you close your browser.

  • When logging in, cookies will store login information (2 days by default, or 2 weeks with “Remember Me”). Display settings cookies last 1 year. Logging out removes login cookies.

  • If you edit or publish an article, a cookie will be saved in your browser (expires after 1 day, contains no personal data).

Articles on this site may include embedded content (videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor visited the external website directly.

  • No Obligation: Submission does not guarantee review, response, or partnership.

  • Indemnification: You agree to indemnify Scato Music for claims related to your submission.

  • Permission to Review: You grant us permission to review and evaluate your materials.

  • Compliance: Submissions must comply with applicable laws and not infringe third-party rights.

  • Termination: We may remove submissions at our discretion.


8. Who We Share Your Data With

  • Third-party service providers (analytics, hosting, email, advertising).

  • If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

  • If required by law or to protect our legal rights.

  • In case of a merger, sale, or acquisition.

We do not sell your personal information.


9. How Long We Retain Your Data

  • Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely to recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically.

  • For registered users (if any), we store the personal information provided in their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except usernames). Website administrators can also view and edit that information.

If you have an account or have left comments, you may request:

  • An exported file of the personal data we hold about you.

  • That we delete any personal data we hold.
